American Idol season 12 top ten took the stage last night 3/13/2013 live for the first single elimination round. I won't waste your time with each and every performance and I would get something wrong because I do not take notes for one simple reason. If someone gives a memorable performance, I won't need notes to remember it. If I don't remember it, it did not impress me. Sometimes saying one is memorable can be a bad thing.There are such a thing as a bad memory. One that sticks above the rest for it's dis-performance.
I can safely say there weren't any of those tonight. But, there were some very good and a couple great and one super fantastic.Let's get down to it.
As far as super fantastic performance, I don't even have to say it if you watched you already know is Candice Glover. If I had to hand over a winner for the season based on tonights performances, Candice Glover would take it hands down. See for yourself below

My pick for a runner - up tonight would be a three way tie with Kree, Amber, & Paul. Each of these impressed me with nailing their songs and stage presence and taking on some risk with their song choice. Not that they got out of their comfort zones but, they had to reach and set the bar higher for the rest.
After them would be Janelle,Lazaro,Angela,Burnell,Curtis and Devin. Pretty much in that order. I really hate that because I really thought Devin was a keeper but, solely based on performance,he did not dazzle or move anything within. This is how the vote should go but, we all know it is more a popularity contest.
In every contest there can only be one winner and if Candice keeps this up she will no doubt take it all. But just as the name implies this is just all in my own opinion
